This Himalayan meditation and yoga retreat will explore the concept of yoga through spiritual discourses along with Emotional Detoxification Kriyas.

This is designed assist students of yoga to understand and experience the desire for a hidden quest for discovering the reality within.

Apart from Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga sessions, students will have sessions on:

Dhyana (meditation), Active breathing meditation, Yoga Nidra, Yogic Cleansing and purification, Emotional Detoxification Kriyas, Water Therapy, How to do fasting, Intestinal cleansing, Basic knowledge on how to treat knee, back and neck pain with pressure points.

Course Content Overview

The retreat, set in a spiritual Himalayan environment, surrounded by the beauty of nature makes this a completely rejuvenating experience for the mind and body. It may help to fight depression, may reduce inflammation, could improve heart health, could reduce chronic pain, could improve breathing and bring many other significant benefits to your health and wellbeing.

The Yoga posture practice is scheduled for morning and evening sessions every day. The morning session contains a few hours of hatha yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa sessions for the evening. To do a precision, unique belt props are used for adjusting the positions. All the queries about the adjustment are handled by our guru/lead teachers to help you.

Meditation practice is an essential part of learning yoga. Meditation enables you to go beyond the wilderness of an ordinary mind and leave you with a feeling of complete peace in life.

Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is a powerful technique with many benefits. Learn how to slow down the body & mind to a state between waking and sleeping.

Yogic cleansing exercises are important to learn how to incorporate your breath and meditate properly during physical aspects of yoga. It also removes the blockages in the energy channels. This will include:

  • Jala Neti
  • Vamana Dhauti
  • Kapalabhati

Emotional Detoxification Kriyas is a combination of removing knots in the body through pressing points, breathing techniques, release through sound and laughter and meditation. It is a three day program and very effective to release the effect of emotions and other toxins in the body.

Unlike many of the other meditation techniques, Sufi meditation is spiritual by nature. There is no “secular version” of these techniques, as the idea of God is part of their DNA. The core of all their practices is to remember God, fill the heart with God, and unite oneself with Him. So if you are atheist or agnostic, you probably won’t find these meaningful.
